My Mother's Castle

by Marcel Pagnol, adaptation Antoine Séguin
Mise en scène : Elric Thomas

Building on the success of the previous episode, ‘Le Château de ma Mère’ is finally coming to the stage!

In this second volume, Antoine Séguin once again takes us on a delightful journey through Pagnol's childhood memories. He plays little Marcel who, on his way to La Bastide Neuve, meets the wonderful Lili des Bellons, with whom he discovers friendship, the sympathetic Bouzigue, the terrible rural warden with his horrible dog, and a whole gallery of picturesque characters. Here again, the magic of the theatre allows audiences of all ages to enter the enchanting world of this great text.

A magnificent version of Pagnol's text, adapted for the first time for the stage, in which the author reconnects with his childhood with humour and tenderness.

“In these memories, I will not speak ill or well of myself; it is not about me that I am speaking, but about the child I am no longer. It is a little character that I once knew and who has melted into the air of time.”
